The focused on the most requested features which definitely makes sense. In other words they streamlined the application interface, simplified filtering, and made synching three times faster. | Latest PlayBook OS 2.0 Beta Does Not Patch Dingleberry Jailbreak Posted: 18 Dec 2011 12:22 PM PST
I have been getting questions from readers asking if the latest PlayBook Beta OS 2.0.0.6149 blocked the Dingleberry root jailbreaking exploit. I have confirmed that my own PlayBook is still jailbroken after the update and @Cmwdotme has confirmed the same. The process still has you jailbreaking the PlayBook on an older OS version and then upgrading to the latest. Seems like this latest DHCP jailbreak is not high on RIM's priority list. So it seems the mega sale is back on at many major US retailers. The sales seem to be a bit better this time for the 32GB models and Walmart has some very nice bundle deals. So far I found bestbuy, walmart and office depot have the sales back. Canada doesn’t seem to have the sales back on yet but we will keep checking Bestbuy.com has 16Gb for $199.99, 32GB for $249.99 and 64GB for 399.99 Officedepot.com has 16Gb for $199.99, 32GB for $249.99 and 64GB for 399.99 Walmart.com has a sweet package deals on a 32 GB and 64 GB including a case and 2 rapid chargers!!
