Roboform2 Roboform

RoboForm has been quietly updating their BlackBerry client since we last mentioned it in late 2011. Bill let us know that RoboForm has pushed out v1.5.5 on their website for BlackBerry users. Sadly there is no change log but it is nice to see their BlackBerry client getting regular updates after being neglected earlier last year.

Check out RoboForm's BlackBerry client on their website here or download the latest version OTA

Dev Details How They Ported Cronk to BlackBerry 10 (Native SDK Game)

Cronk

I have been asked by a few game developers what it would take to port their games to the PlayBook so its nice to see RIM cover this topic. One of their new developer relations technical evangelist, Aaron Ardiri, wrote up a detailed article on how he ported one of his indie games to the PlayBook. The game is called Cronk and was available on other platforms previously and ported to the PlayBook. The games graphics are not full resolution but the gameplay of clearing blocks is quite fun for the $2.99 game. Check out the game below:

The write up Ardiri posted on the BlackBerry DevBlog is a great read into what it takes to port a C game to the PlayBook and BlackBerry 10. He goes through all the main steps devs will have to perform to get their game settled on the platform. I highly recommend checking it out or sharing it with devs looking to port their games or those who already have.

Free Jeweled (Bejeweled Clone) Game With BBM Integration

Jeweled Jeweled2

I am always up for a new Bejeweled clone and Ajani Infotech does a great job with their Jeweled game. In case you have lived under a rock and don't know how to play Bejeweled you are simply trying to put three or more jewels of the same color together to clear them by swapping their places. Ajani Infotech spices things up by adding BBM integration.

Check out Jeweled free in App World for most BlackBerry smartphones. Kudos to Jeff for sending this in via PocketBerry.

Gameloft Updates 9mm HD PlayBook Game To Fix Autosave

Posted: 08 Jun 2012 06:45 AM PDT

9mm HD 9mm HD2

Gameloft impressed many PlayBook gamers with the solid 9mm HD game for only $0.99. There is no official change log but Don pointed out (via Mobistack) that it seems to fix the autosave issues where it lost your progress after the app closed. Other than that the game is pretty slick and highly recommended.

Check out 9mm HD in App World for $0.99 or take a peak at this cross platform trailer to see what I mean:
